Well...my new (old) large format 4x5 arrived today! Better than Christmas! It seems to be in great shape! Oh! I broke the ground glass as soon as I pulled back the spring back---it snapped shut without warning and the glass split in two. Crap! I've been chatting with an ebayer in California that makes ground glass that has gotten good reviews in large format forums. Looks like I'm gonna be able to replace it with an even brighter screen for reasonable money. (Woohooo!) Had to order a lens board. Both my large format lenses are Copal 1s (42mm openings). The one it came with is larger...a 3 maybe.
As soon as it gets here, I'm going to try it out. I'll be sure to post new photographs as they happen!
Technically speaking, it's got a 26" rail for 22" of bellows extension---close-up work and portraits! Good tilt-shift goodness. I think it's gonna be a good'en.
